Overnight Awake Resident Manager (Emergency Family Shelter)
Full-time, part-time, and on-call positions responsible for evening, weekend and overnight-awake coverage of Emergency Family Shelter. Resident Managers work as a team and are responsible for supervision of the residents and general management of the shelter to insure a safe, secure, comfortable and supportive environment. Services are provided in a manner consistent with the mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures of the program and the agency. Resident managers monitor social and recreational activities and perform and oversee all household duties including meal preparation, cleaning and maintenance of the facility. Successful candidate will be professional, compassionate, have strong interpersonal relationship skills, and possess a high level of cultural competence. Work requires a HS diploma or equivalent and more than one and up to three years of work experience in residential care, mental health, or other human services. Must have current and valid driver license, lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to negotiate stairs. Background clearance including criminal, sex offender, child abuse and DMV required. Public Health Insurance Enroller (Child/Family Health Plus)
Full-time (Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm) position responsible for identifying families which are potentially eligible for Child/Family Health insurance or Medicaid health insurance and assisting them in completing the application process. Successful applicant will be energetic and highly organized with excellent time management skills. Must be detail oriented with strong customer service, interpersonal, and computer skills. Must be a team player with the ability to work with a variety of people. Minimum of an Associates degree with one year human services experience and outstanding record of customer service. Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and your own vehicle. Must be able to physically negotiate all manners of domiciles. Resident Manager (Barnabas Residential)
Full-time, part-time, and on-call positions responsible for evening, weekend and overnight-awake coverage for Barnabas Youth Residential programs. Responsible for supervision of the residents and general management of the shelter to insure a safe, secure, comfortable and supportive environment primarily during evening and weekend hours. Services are provided in a manner consistent with the mission, philosophy, policies, and procedures of the program and the agency. Resident Managers monitor social and recreational activities and perform and oversee all household duties including meal preparation, cleaning and maintenance of the facility. Successful candidate will be professional, compassionate, have strong interpersonal relationship skills, and possess a high level of cultural competence Work requires a HS diploma or equivalent and more than one and up to three years of work or volunteer experience with youth who are preferably at risk. Resident Manager (State St. Apts./Young Adult Residence)
Part-time 24 hour per week responsible for providing coverage for a 6-bed permanent supported housing program for young adults with mental illness. The position will require availability to work weekends and possibly one overnight-awake shift per week. Resident Managers work as a team to support program outcomes in collaboration with the Case Manager, ILS Coordinator, and Program Director. Resident Managers are responsible for supervision of the residents and general management of the residence to insure a safe, secure, comfortable and supportive environment. The manager monitors social and recreational activities and performs and oversees all household duties including cleaning and maintenance of the facility. The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as a high level of cultural competence. Work requires a HS diploma or equivalent and more than one and up to three years of work experience in residential care, mental health, or other human services. Must have current and valid NYS driver license, the ability to lift up to 40 lbs. and be able to negotiate stairs. Responsible to: Program Director.

CHILD WELFARE SERVICES
Transition Assistant
Full-time position for a compassionate and reliable individual who will be responsible for transporting children who are in foster care to and from their family visitations. The transition assistant will provide safe transportation services for passengers and/or merchandise; maintain required and adequate trip records and preventive maintenance, repair, and fuel usage. Work requires a H.S. Diploma or GED, more than one and up to three years experience. Valid NYSDL as required by vehicle use; clear driving and criminal record without convictions, suspensions or stops. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs. Training and/or experience with passenger assistance techniques desired. Experience interacting with children strongly preferred. Background clearance including criminal, sex offender, child abuse and DMV required. Responsible to: Visitation Center Logistics Coordinator.
